
We love salmon. This easy salmon recipe takes no more than about 20 minutes to prep and cook. It is our go-to recipe for salmon.
Easy Salmon on Romaine
Delicious salmon recipe for camping
Find fresh wild caught salmon at a seafood market.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs wild caught salmon
- Olive oil
- Romaine lettuce
- Red wine vinegar
- pepper to taste
Directions
- Heat iron skillet to medium; add olive oil.
- Add salmon steaks skin side down.
- As soon as it turns golden brown and crispy on the bottom, flip salmon over.
- Cook until top side is golden brown.
- Chop lettuce while salmon is cooking.
- Flip salmon again; cook until desired level of doneness.
- Plate lettuce; add olive oil, vinegar, and pepper.
- Place salmon on top of lettuce and serve.
Start with wild caught salmon cut into steaks.

Warm up an iron skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and salmon.

Chop lettuce while salmon cooks. Plate the lettuce and dress with olive oil, vinegar, and pepper.

Add the salmon when it is done cooking and you are ready to eat! Super simple and delicious.
