Ingredients

  • 1 lb grass-fed beef
  • 1/2 sweet onion
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 1 can of tomato paste (or sauce)
  • 1 TBL honey
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 1 tsp garlic
  • olive oil
  • buns (try potato buns)
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Chop onion and peppers into bite size pieces.
  2. Heat skillet to medium; brown beef and drain (if necessary depending on fat content) set aside.
  3. In a medium pot, saute onions and peppers in olive oil; add meat, tomato paste, honey, mustard, garlic, salt, and pepper. Add about a can of water as needed to desired consistency. Note: if using tomato sauce no water will be needed.
  4. Cook over medium heat for about 15 minutes.
