Blowing Rock NC
While staying at Julian Price Campground on the Blue Ridge Parkway, we decided to explore Blowing Rock, NC for a day. To our delight, we found the picturesque mountain town in full bloom during our visit. We took our time to enjoy all the gorgeous flowers and made a few stops along Main Street.

Main Street
Parking was easy in the spacious parking building just behind Blowing Rock City Park. We made our way through the City Park to Memorial Park, at the center of Main Street.

We took a moment to read the memorial to the Veterans before strolling over to Town Hall.

The perennial landscaping continued in and around the Town Hall building.

We studied the meticulously placed flowers before heading south down Main Street for coffee.

Just past the park we noticed the old Museum. We meant to peek in but coffee was calling…

Bald Guy Brew
Our next stop along Main Street was Bald Guy Brew. We had heard of this coffee roaster out of Boone, NC, and wanted to give it a try.

The shop was a pleasure to visit. We particularly admired the live moss wall art.

We took our late morning brunch to the outside seating area to enjoy the views – you guessed it – more beautiful landscaping.

YUM! The coffee and scones were delicious!
Sunset and Vine
As the morning turned into afternoon, we had one last stop on our bucket list: Sunset and Vine.

Sunset and Vine has an impressive selection of wine and is located on Sunset Drive just off Main Street.

The porch was so inviting (plus dog-friendly)! Barley enjoyed a fresh bowl of water and the owner spoiled him with treats.

We were ready for an afternoon with no other activity than sitting on a porch sipping sangria.

We sat as long as possible to enjoy the slow pace, beautiful scenery, and weather before heading back to camp.
